LLOYD WEERES It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lloyd Weeres on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at River Park Gardens in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 86 years. Lloyd will be lovingly remembered by his wife Irene (nee Jalbert) of 61 years of marriage; daughter Brenda (Mike), grandchildren, Logan and Lauren; son Brian (Shelby), grandson Jordan; daughter Arlene (Mike), grandchildren, Matthew, Geoffrey (Mandy), Kayley, Nicholas and Liam; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his son Kevin; mother and father, John and Catherine Weeres; and his siblings, Jean, Vernon and Kenneth. In 1955, Lloyd married the love of his life, Irene. He was a strong and caring family man. Countless hours were spent playing cards and games. He especially loved his grandchildren, taking them fishing, playing catch and teaching them how to play cribbage. He was a kind, considerate, honest and trustworthy man and will be sorely missed. A funeral service will be held in Roblin at a later date. Condolences can be expressed at www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com. The family would like to thank the staff at River Park Gardens for their love and care of Lloyd while he was there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation. It was by chance I heard of Lloyd's death. My mother and he were double cousins. I enjoyed seeing him at family gatherings. - Posted by: Lorne Kwasnicki (Cousin) on: Nov 11, 2017
