NOELLA MARIA JUBINVILLE (PAYETTE)
Date of Passing: Sep 15, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNOELLA MARIA JUBINVILLE (nee PAYETTE) On September 15, 2017 Noëlla Maria Jubinville, aged 75, accepted the Lord's call to eternal comfort. She will be missed by her husband of 48 years, Roland; children Jean (Tauna), Linda (Shawn) and Ginette (Ryan); grandchildren Arron, Madison, Haelen and Delaney; siblings Roger, Paul, Jean (Linda), Yvette, Edith (Aime), Irene and Lucille; and numerous close nieces and nephews. Noëlla grew up in St. Lupicin, where her large family operated the store and post office. It was a frequent gathering place, and socializing remained with her, and she never lost her love of entertaining and cooking. As a young lady she joined the Order of Soeurs du Saint Sauveur as Soeur Denis, but at age 19 felt she could better witness Christ through home and family and left the novitiate. She moved to St. Boniface and found employment in the hospital kitchen for a few years. She met a hard-working, young farmer nicknamed 'Ti-Blanc' from Letellier, they courted, and then married on November 9, 1968. Mom embraced the farm lifestyle, but soon discovered that easing the clutch wasn't among her many talents. She made up for it by managing the household with zest. They soon welcomed three children and created a loving, joyful home grounded in faith. Over the years, many foster children found sanctuary in our home and Mom had room in her heart for each of them. A trip to Egypt, Rome, and the Vatican was a great source of spiritual energy. She truly felt that every human was beautiful and would have travelled the world to meet them all were it possible. The flood of 1997 precipitated a move, and the chance to build a new home. They retired to St. Malo where Mom's sense of community led her to serve and help wherever she could. By this time there were grandchildren to cherish, and they gave her such joy that they were always her first priority. Twelve years later it was time to move closer to family and doctors, and St. Adolphe became home. Mom was incredibly courageous while her health continued to deteriorate. Her last days before being hospitalized were spent among friends and family, tending her garden and preserving the harvest. Mom, we say goodbye with heavy hearts, while taking comfort that you will now reap the rich reward you so deserve. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on September 22, 2017, at Paroisse Precieux-Sang, 200 Kenny Street, Winnipeg, MB; with viewing beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the St. Pie Cemetery, Letellier, MB. I have not known Noella for long but took a bible class with Sister Rachelle & she was present. Her strong faith, beautiful voice & kindness touched my heart. It was with great sadness the last time I spoke with her that she was moving to St. Boniface due to her illness. I know Holy Mary came & got her on the feast day of "Our Lady of Sorrow". - Posted by: claire milette (friend) on: Sep 24, 2017

So sad to hear of ma tante Noella's passing. I have very fond memories of spending some summer days out on the farm to brush up on our "French". My love goes out to your family during this time of loss. May your memories keep you comforted in the following days. - Posted by: Annette Bright (Leclair) (Niece) on: Sep 20, 2017
