JOAN BEVERLEY GINTER
Born: Jul 29, 1936
Date of Passing: Sep 19, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN BEVERLEY GINTER With her loving family at her side God took Joan Beverley Ginter gently in his loving arms and guided her peacefully home in the early afternoon of September 19, 2017. After a full life, she is now back dancing with David - the love of her life. Joan is predeceased by parents, Isabel and Bryan, brother George, and loving husband David. Left to mourn Joan's passing are sons, Gordon (Karen), Howard (Elaine), Bryan, and Richard (Tannis); grandchildren, Kevin, Jennifer, Jenesia, Alyssa, Taryn, Kayla, Lauren, Reily, Eric, Mitchell, Daniel, Samantha, Kaisey and Ashley; six great-grandchildren; and nieces, Julie (Don) and Debbie (Sandy). Born in Winnipeg on July 29, 1936, Joan worked a small variety of jobs but cherished her main role as a loving, caring homemaker, wife, and mother. She was all about family, putting everyone before her. It is a wonder she kept her sanity while having to raise four rambunctious boys. Not one to sit idle she gave her time and effort in a variety of ways including volunteer work with St. James Anglican Church - where she and husband David attended for 40-plus years, and the Independent Order of Foresters. Joan left everyone with a lasting impression of kindness. Those who were privileged to know her, knew her to be a kind, fun-loving, generous, woman. Right to the end her positive interaction with fellow patients and staff at Grace Hospital was testimonial to her character. The Ginter family wishes to acknowledge the staff on the fifth floor of Grace Hospital for the wonderful, compassionate care shown to their beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate Street (at Portage Avenue), Winnipeg with Rev. Canon Dr. Murray Still. Donations in Joan's memory may be made to your local foodbank. Our deepest condolences to Joan's family. We have known Joan and Dave for several years and spent many fun times with them. They were good friends of my parents Emery and Laura. Joan was all about family and embraced ours as if we were part of hers. She adored her sons and as each married adored their wives. Her grandchildren were everything to her and she loved spending as much time as she could with all of them. When our daughters were born she was there for them as well, making each of them her famous 3 ft Raggedy Ann dolls which they still have today. When our daughter had a son of her own, she sent her a Raggedy Andy outfit for the doll. Always loving, always ready to be part of their lives. Will miss her and her never ending enjoyment of those she cared about. Take care and keep her spirit alive with all the stories you share.
