KENNETH VICTOR NORMAND After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Ken (Papa) passed away at the Victoria Hospital on September 24, 2017 at the age of 65. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Bonnie, children Darcy (Craig) and David (Shari), grandchildren Rylee, Cole, Reese and Bennett, sisters Leona Berard and Rosalie (Calder) Carter, brother-in-law Bob (Marie) Van De Keere, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Catherine and Victor Normand, and his brother Rick. Ken worked for CN for 38 years and then enjoyed 10 years of retirement. He resided in St. Adolphe for 39 years. He enjoyed fishing, hockey, working in his yard, breakfasts with his buddies, and was always willing to lend a hand. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and loved watching them excel in sport and at school. Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway 1 East at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. The family would like to thank the staff at the Victoria Hospital 4S and all family and friends who supported Ken and Bonnie over the last several months. Bonnie, Darcy, David, and family~ My Mom just told me tonight and I am so sorry to hear this. Ken was a very kind man. I remember going to your house Darcy and how we laughed about building a bridge from HWY 210 to your backyard 😂 how are Dads laughed about that.
