Georges was predeceased by his wife, Rita (née Dumesnil); his granddaughter Roxanne; his parents Adélard and Dorothée; his parents-in-law, Louis-Edouard and Lucienne; brothers Albert, Edmond, Roger, and Lucien (Fils); sisters Irène and Simone; and by his in-laws, Raymond Dupuis, Fernand Gervais, and Esther St. Hilaire. Left to cherish his memory are his seven children: Gérald (Marj); Michel (Christine); Édith Chartier (Noël); Luc (Shawna); Bernard (Karis); Norman (Marnie); and Elaine Moreau (Don); 16 grandchildren: Chantal, René, Marc, Nadine, Riley, Kristin, Chelsey, Jared, Meagan, Kristi, Kyler, Colin, Charlie, Colton, Paul and Jessica; and 12 great-grandchildren. Dad grew up in St. Pierre, Manitoba. On October 4, 1952, he married the love of his life, Rita Dumesnil. Together, they settled down in Aubigny in 1958 and raised seven children. He worked as a carpenter while maintaining a farm and working the fields. He loved politics, was well-read and was a person of service. He dedicated 17 years of his life as counsellor for the Municipality of Morris, sat on the Board of Directors for Caisse populaire d'Aubigny and was also a school trustee. He was a devoted family man and cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family always came first. He was a supportive father and a positive influence to all his family. The family wishes to thank all those who supported them during these difficult times. A special thank you to Aunt Léonne and Uncle Wayne for their daily love and support. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to all the nurses of the Palliative Community Home Program, Dr. K. Kiani, Dr. Isabelle Paquin, and the wonderful home care workers, Ken and Daniella.
