LOUISE MARIE EMILIA GERARDY (née CHARETTE) On September 28, 2017, at St. Boniface Hospital, Louise Marie Emilia Gerardy (née Charette), aged 68, went to her eternal home to be with her Saviour after a determined battle backed by the love and prayers of family, friends and her church community. Born in Winnipeg on December 22, 1948, Louise, a deeply beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother was predeceased by her mother, Gabrielle, and father Alfred. She is survived by her faithful and adoring husband Roger; children Dan (Sandra), Caroline (Jim), Jamie, Jeff (Joelle), Carmen and Rebecca (Jeremy); and all her brothers and sisters. The foundation of Louise's life was her family, her faith in God and the teachings of the Bible. She understood that life was about living for Jesus and caring for people. She was an active member of Calvary Temple Church, serving as leader and volunteer for over 45 years. She touched many lives through Alpha, Sunday School, Camp Ministry, Crusaders, Wee College, telephone counselling with Billy Graham and Faith to Live By. She treasured and loved her grandchildren: Tyler and Tanner; Vienna and Victoria; Autumn and Brooke-Lynn; Olivia and Isaac; Lori, Lexis, Lacie and Lynzie. Louise deeply touched and altered the lives of everyone she knew and there are no words to describe the loss we feel with her passing. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital and Palliative Home Care. The funeral service will be at Calvary Temple in the Buntain Chapel on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to Calvary Temple Camp. • If not for my cousin Louise, I would not be here today. Louise always referred to me as her older cousin (only by 9 months) but she loved to say that. When we were children about ten years old we were at Grand beach and I loved the water I happened to go out a little to far and all of a sudden I was going under I panicked but Louise being a little taller reached out and pulled me back. We were always close but after that we were even closer. When we were teenagers Louise use to get the hiccups a lot. I would tease her about it,so we made a promise to each other. When one of us got the hiccups we would think of the other. Then I moved away and for years whenever I'd get the hiccups I just knew Louise was thinking of me. I love you my dear cousin see you in Heaven hugs your older cousin Paulette - Posted by: Paulette Clark (cousin) on: Oct 03, 2017
