ADOLPH AMBROSE PELTZ Adolph Ambrose Peltz passed away peacefully on the morning of Thanksgiving Day, October 9, 2017, at the East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home in Beausejour, at age 97. He will be forever remembered and sorely missed by his wife Agnes, his daughter Wendy (Kennedy) and son Glenn, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Agnes, his sisters, Ada, Anne and Caroline, and brother Andy. Adolph wore many hats during his life soldier, farmer, carpenter, Mr. Fix-It. He was a loyal son, husband, father and friend, and used his skills in many ways to help those who needed it. In his final years, he often said "I've had a good life!" and was very content when he reflected on the various experiences he had in the army, on the farm and during his travels. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Joseph Partyka who was his gentle and compassionate family physician, to Dr. Nick Van Rensburg for his thoughtful care while Dad was at East Gate, to Home Care staff who were always patient and kind, to the compassionate staff at the Beausejour Health Centre where Dad spent this past summer and to the many kind and caring health care staff who became like family during Dad's last month when he lived at East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home. Also, a special thank you to Rev. Father Owen Steeves for his committed and understanding pastoral care. To honour Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service was held at the St. Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery in Beausejour. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to either Beausejour Health Centre or East Gate Lodge. In the clouds a rainbow appears a sign of everlasting friendship between the Creator and the created. When life starts limping look to the rainbow and remember. Macrina Wiederkehr SOBERING FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, Beausejour 268-3510 or MB Toll Free 1-877-776-2220 www.soberingfuneralchapel.com

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • We are deeply sorry to read about Mr Peltz' death. Him and his wife were such good neighbors to us. We were young then and they were always teaching us something. Mr Pelts had all kinds of stories to tell us. We were feeling that they had taking us under their wings. Before we left Manitoba, they gave us a wooden chair and a cup and saucer that belonged to their family. We still have them and cherish them. They were truly country people and this is what we became. Knowing them made a difference in our lives. Mr Peltz was truly a good man. I know he passed away a year ago, but it would be nice if someone could hand that message down to Mrs Peltz. I would like to hear about her. Maybe her daughter could contact me, or Mrs Peltz herself. I hope she is healthy. - Posted by: Manon Lord and François Cholette (Former neighbors, we used to rent his fathers house in 1989-1991) on: Oct 15, 2018

  • My thoughts and prayers are with you on the loss of your husband and father. I have good memories of Adolph as he was a gentle, kind and soft spoken person as well as a person you could rely on. May God's Grace help through your days of sorrow at this difficult time. Take care Agnes, Wendy and Glen. - Posted by: Linda Przednowek (friend and neighbour) on: Oct 11, 2017
