EUGENIUSZ JANUSZEWICZ Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Bobola Roman Catholic Church, 541 Marion Street with Rev. Fr. EUGENIUSZ JANUSZEWICZ It is with great sadness that the family of Eugeniusz (Eugine) (Gienek) Januszewicz of Winnipeg, Manitoba, announce his passing on Monday, October 16, 2017, at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 86 years. Eugine will be remembered and sadly missed by his wife Maria; children, Stanislaw (Grazyna), Kazimierz (Alicja), Ewa (Robert) and Lucja (Mihai); and by his grandchildren, Ewelina, Dominik, Rafal, Jakub, Gabriella and Sebastian. Predeceased by his parents Adam and Bronislawa; baby brother Maciej; older sister Regina, and brother Bronislaw. He will be remembered and missed by his remaining brothers and sisters: Izabella, Monika, Antoni (Elzbieta), Edward (Teresa) and Daniel (lrena); sister-in-law Anna and many nieces and nephews; his sister-in-law Danuta and brother-in-law Henryk in Poland. On May 24, 1931 Eugeniusz was born in Sadzawki, Poland and was the second of nine children and oldest son. As the oldest son he had taken over responsibility of running the family farm as a young teenager. When his siblings married and moved away as far as Canada, Eugine also hoped that one day he could leave the farm and travel. The time was right, at the of age 56, when his own oldest son had taken over the work, he decided to travel to Canada and start a new life there. He worked in Chicago for over a year and then moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba permanently. Eugine's wife and two daughters came to join him next, and some years later his younger son with his family. Eugine (Gienek) was the most generous and kind person; loved reading the newspaper and always to know the weather; devoted Catholic and church going person; loved his garden and always kept busy. His family was the most important to him. He was loved by so many and will be missed greatly by all.
