AUDREY LYNN ROCHE October 1, 1945 - October 14, 2017 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Audrey, aged 72, at the Health Sciences Centre. Audrey is survived by her loving husband Gordon; sister Gail; son Jeff; daughter Danielle (Chris); grandchildren Tanner, Hilary, Noah and Andrew will also miss her dearly. She also leaves behind her stepfamily Karen, Stuart (Sharri), Scott, Cameron, Sarah and Emma. Her nieces Holly and Angel, and nephew Chris were also very special to her. Audrey was predeceased by her parents John and Elsa, and her loving husband of 22 years, Garnet Walters. Audrey was born in Winnipeg, but spent the last 39 years in Petersfield, living most of those years on her beloved Netley Creek. Audrey grew up in St. Vital, was married to Gil Dufort from 1968 to 1974 (father of Jeff and Danielle) and remained the closest of friends no matter where their lives took them. In 1978, she met Garnet, to whom she would marry and spend 22 loving years until his passing in 2000. How lucky was she in 2005 to be introduced to Gordon, whom she would marry in 2009. Gordon and Audrey would travel North America, making new friends wherever they went. A Happy Hour at Gordon and Audrey's was full of fun, friends and always love. Audrey and Gordon joined their families seamlessly. While a person's life is sometimes measured by their accomplishments and credits, it should always be measured by the impact they had on others. For those of us left behind, there will be a void left by the vivacious, caring, and compassionate Audrey, our mother, our grandmother, our friend, our wife. Audrey's greatest loves were her family, her many, many friends, especially "the Girls", and of course her furbabies. Her special little girl Rexie will keep her chair warm. We will miss her so. Please join us on Friday, October 20 at Gilbart Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. for a celebration of her life and a "Who's In?!" In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to an animal shelter of your choice. Condolences may be left at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
