Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) SIDNEY PINNELL On October 12, 2017, Bob Pinnell at the age of 87, born February 9, 1930, passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side. He was predeceased by wife Trudy, and his late companion Katie. Bob is mourned by his family; children, Gerrit (Carol), Paul and Roma, in addition to six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and his older brother, Stanley Pinnell of Montreal. A very special thank you to the Doctors and staff at Pinawa Hospital, Betel Nursing Home and Selkirk General Hospital for the excellent care he received. Bob was always proud of his service in the Navy and in 1970, he joined the Royal Canadian Legion Stonewall Branch No. 52 / Lac du Bonnet Branch No. 164. He farmed in Warren, MB until the early 90s, when he moved to his new home in Lac du Bonnet where he lived until his passing. President of the Pioneer Senior Club of Lac du Bonnet 1998 - 2001. Member of M.S.O.S. Board (Eastman Council) 2003 - 2006, also a member at large 2007 - 2009 . Bob thoroughly enjoyed participating in floor curling with Katie at every MSOS Senior Games. He was especially thrilled to participate in the Senior Canada Games in Whitehorse 2004. With his wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be at the Warren Cemetery in the spring of 2018. So sorry to hear about Bob's death - nearly 3 weeks after my mother, Mary's death and 2 days before her Memorial Service. Your father and my mother went to highschool together and were both taught by my grandmother, Gladys. Bob reconnected with Mary just a few years ago and she always spoke of his correspondence with delight and appreciation - I was about to write him a note to tell him about Mom's death when I read about his death on line.
