RODGER THOMAS GEORGE COLBERT August 16, 1953 - October 17, 2017 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rodger, with family by his side, at the Beausejour Hospital, at the age of 64 years. Rodger will be deeply missed by his wife of 42 years, Wendy, son Garth (Nikki) and daughter Kimberley (Jaret). He was the proudest Grandpa to four grandchildren, Sadie, Finn, Smith and Carlin. The youngest of six boys, Rodger is also survived by brothers Keith, Elwood (Val), Arthur (Vivian), Raymond (Phyllis), Brian (Evie), and many nieces and nephews who were very important to him. He was predeceased by his parents Mary (nee Fetterley) and Glen Colbert. Rodger loved life. A truck driver for over 45 years, he loved the open road, meeting new people, and catching up with old friends. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, quadding with the grandkids and providing for his beloved family. He will be missed beyond measure. A heartfelt thank you to his brothers and very special friends for being by his side, having his back and brightening his days during this difficult time. A celebration of Rodger's life will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Anola Community Club in Anola, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anola Community Club, Box 129, Anola, MB R0E 0A0. seasonsfunerals.ca

  • Dear Wendy and family. How sad I was to hear of Rodger’s passing. I have so many wonderful memories of great times spent together. We were young, invincible and truly enjoyed the company of the group of friends that got together. So many times we laughed so hard ...we cried. I shed tears for your great loss and remember those gone before us. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers and remember some of those times when laughter over shadowed sorrow.
