ALEXANDER SLYKER June 22, 1951 - October 20, 2017 Suddenly at his home on October 20, 2017, Alex passed away. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Corrie Slyker. Alex leaves behind his wife Tracy; two sisters; three brothers; numerous nieces and nephews and their families whom Alex always enjoyed spending time with. Alex had a long career in the rebar industry and for the last few years he enjoyed his seasonal work as a flag person with Boreland Construction. Alex enjoyed a lifestyle of fishing, hunting, camping and his warm winter vacation. If your name is Chubey, Zinnick, Paskaruk, Fiebelkorn, Sparks, Gunter, Dryden, Parks, Last, Kwiatkaski or Kirner, please consider yourselves always held tight within Slick's heart. Cremation has taken place and per Alex's wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Condolences may be left at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
