Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • Hi Elis. I only just recently learned of your loss of Bruce. My memories go way back to when we were kids. You and Bruce were dating and you would often take me and Kathy to the car race track just outside of Winnipeg in his convertible. In later years at your cottage. He was a great guy. My deepest condolences to you and your family. - Posted by: Sandra Briscoe (Friend) on: May 13, 2021

  • I am saddened today as I ventured out for a walk during this Covid crisis today. I met neighbors Clair and Kieth down the lane and I spoke of Bruce and Claire asked me about my referring to Bruce in the present tense. She shared he had passed and it moved me, I thought of past times we shared being neighbors as I progressed along my walk with soft tunes in my earbuds. I recall Bruce and Ellis planting the spruce between us on a nice fall day and the exact dialogue between my wife Cheryl, Ellis and Bruce, as we discussed Keith and his choice of career direction. They are both so proud of their kids, and I believe Keith thrived in his endeavor, chasing his dreams with support of his loving parents. The tree still stands big an proud as I gaze upon it out my window as the planting occurred many years ago. I share this story with all that have moved into the home. To me, I look out and still see Bruce tinkering on the converted bus camper! Rest in peace my friend, you are still alive in well in the minds and hearts of your many friends. - Posted by: Ken Mutcheson (Friend and neighbor) on: Sep 17, 2020
