YVONNE MARIE FITZMAURICE (née TARDIFF) It is with heavy hearts we announce Yvonne's passing on October 19, 2017 at the age of 86 years. Mom passed away peacefully, with her loving son at her side. Yvonne is survived by son Marc (Nancy), daughter Diane (John), and daughter Lisa (Nils); along with grandchildren, Ashley (Kelly), Colin, Daniel, Rita, and Niklas. She was predeceased by her first husband Eugene as well as her second husband Raymond. Yvonne was born in Ste. Rose-du-Lac, MB on January 21, 1931. She moved to St. Boniface to attend the X-Ray technician program at St. Boniface Hospital and graduated in 1951. She enjoyed a life filled with square dancing, extensive world travel, wintering in Phoenix, and loved her summers at the cottage in Lakeshore Heights. Unfortunately due to the onset of dementia, she had to move to assisted living and eventually to the Actionmarguerite-St. Vital where she lived out her remaining years. In keeping with Yvonne's wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Boniface Cathedral on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with eulogy beginning at 10:15 a.m. Her family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Actionmarguerite-St. Vital for the excellent care given to Yvonne.
