Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN (JOHN) CAMPEAU August 14, 1924 - October 23, 2017 Jean passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 23, 2017 at his residence, Cathedral Manor. Jean spent his entire life in the St. Norbert and St. Germaine areas. He spent his youth on the farm with his parents and sister. He took over the family farm operation on the death of his father in 1955. Soon afterwards he diversified into market gardening. His marriage to Georgina Pottle in 1961 added a full time partner to his operation. Their vegetable growing continued until the mid-nineties. In their retirement, Jean and Georgie enjoyed travelling and spending time with friends and family. After Georgie's passing in 2006, Jean continued to live on the farm. In November 2014, Jean made the decision to sell his farm and move into the Cathedral Manor. There he enjoyed independent living and the companionship of the other residents and staff. He was predeceased by his wife Georgie, his parents Eva and Ulysse, and his sister Lucy. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private graveside service will take place at a later date in the family plot in the St. Norbert Cemetery. The family is appreciative of the support Jean received from the health care workers, first responders and the staff of Cathedral Manor. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
