SHEILA MARY EVERAERT (nee PEARSON) June 1, 1937 - October 29, 2017 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother on Sunday, October 29. She is survived by her husband Bob, daughters, Diane (Stewart) and Darlene, son Darryl; grandchildren, Brock, Madison, Dakota and Tanner; brothers, Dale, Jack (Roseanne) and Delmar; and many nieces and nephews. Sheila was predeceased by her parents Jim and Mary Pearson, and her brother Clarke. An apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Sheila's parents were awesome. Sheila was raised in Miami, Manitoba. She met Bob in 1957 and they married in 1959. Sheila graduated from nursing at Misericordia Hospital in 1958. Shortly after, she dedicated her skills and love to raising her family. In 1976, after a refresher course, she returned to nursing at Shriner's Hospital for children. She loved the kids she worked with and she kept photo albums of all the kids that stayed there. Sheila was a quiet, sweet and gentle person and loved by all. Sheila never said a negative word about anyone. Through all her health problems she never complained. Her first loves were her grandchildren, children, family, horses and Heartland. Birthdays and anniversaries of family, friends and especially nephews and nieces were important to Sheila. She never failed to send a card. The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital, Dr. Gabrielle and Dr. T. St. Godard and others of Palliative Care for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or Grace Hospice. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6 at Saint John The XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. seasonsfunerals.ca
