Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEILEEN HAMMOND (nee COLLICUTT) September 21, 1930 - October 31, 2017 Peacefully, at Concordia Place Personal Care Home, Eileen Hammond went to join her loving husband Leslie in Heaven on October 31, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Emily, and her sister Marjorie Jacobsen. Eileen will be forever loved and missed by her children Mark Hammond (Aischaa) of Calgary, Linda Pascoe (Edward) of Winnipeg and Karen Hammond of Toronto, grandchildren, Quinn and Reed Hammond of Calgary, Clint Carruthers (Jessica, Tyson and Bella) of Calgary, Dale Carruthers (Nayla) of Winnipeg, and her brother Bert Collicutt of Sidney, BC. Eileen was born and grew up in West Kildonan. After meeting Leslie, they married in 1951 and raised their children in East Kildonan. Mom spent her early working years at Hudson Bay House, Kipp Kelly Ltd. (where she met her future husband), and later at The Bay Store downtown. Leslie and Eileen spent their winters of retirement in Florida where they had a large circle of friends to travel and square dance with. The family would like to thank the staff on the 1st floor unit of Concordia Place for the excellent care she received during her three and a half years there. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB with reception to follow.
