Elle est née le 27 janiver 1938, fille ainé de feu Alphonse et feue Madeleine (Ragot) Girouard. Marie-Ange est prédécédée dans la mort par ses frères, Robert et Édouard; ses soeurs, Michelle Avery et Gisèle Snell. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses frères, Luc (Lucille), Guy et Gabriel et ses soeurs, Sylvia et Mireille. Marie-Ange a été enseignante toute sa vie commençant à Laurier, Manitoba; ceci suivi une liste imposant d'endroits qui se termina à Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Mlle Girouard was my Grade 2 teacher in our one room country school of École Champlain near Laurier, Mb. We met Marie-Ange while teaching for Kelsey School Division in The Pas during the mid-seventies. although, we were not on the same staff, we met as members of The Kelsey Teachers' Association Executive. She was a person who had a strong commitment to her students and fellow teachers. Marie led her day to day challenges with the highest level of integrity. Every task she took on was done meticulously and with full of thought. To her entire family, please accept our thoughts and prayers, in remembering Marie-Ange as an outstanding human being. Au nom de la famille Jacques Peloquin je vous envoie toute nos condoléances . Mlle Girourard fut la dernière institutrice de notre petite école Champlain à Laurier. Elle demeurait chez nous comme pensionnaire. Elle a fait de son mieux à enseigner à une vingtaine d’eleves de la première année à la huitième. Qu’elle repose en paix. Marie-Ange will be remembered as A very kind person who loved her family and went above and beyond to help everyone in need. She also had a great sense of humour that she shared with everyone.
