HAROLD (BRUCE) VALLANCE October 9, 1937 October 30, 2017 After a lengthy struggle with COPD, it is with the deepest sadness that we must announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather. Bruce was predeceased by his wife Rita (nee Kealey), and will be lovingly remembered by his three children: Stephanie (Greg), Mike (Laurie) and Randy; and his grandchildren, Alex, Ben, Aaron, Braydon and Sydney. Bruce had an enormous personality and always had an interesting story to tell and a mischievous smile to share. He embraced life and all of its gifts and challenges. He proudly served 22 years with the Canadian Armed Forces and remained a fierce supporter of our men and women who selflessly served our country. Upon retirement from the military, Bruce moved his family to Thompson, Manitoba, where he worked at the INCO Refinery before finally retiring to Winnipeg. He and Rita enjoyed their many vacations to Hawaii, a fact evident by the many, MANY Hawaiian print shirts that made up the majority of his summer wardrobe. He will be so very much missed. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Special thanks to friends, Gary Simpson and Rodine Isfeld, whose gift of friendship meant so much to Bruce. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
