VERNA EVELYN CAVERS October 22, 1931 - November 6, 2017 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Verna Evelyn Cavers, age 86 years, at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre. She was predeceased by her husband Jim in 2004. She will be deeply missed by her children, Bill (Shirley), Brian (Bev), Carol (Wayne); grandchildren, Mike (Kelsy), Chris, Erin (Derrick) and Brett; great-grandchildren, Owen, Lily, Andre, Logan and Falynn. Verna is survived by her sister Mabel (Orville) Ehnes and sister-in-law Marcella Cavers and their families. Verna was born and raised in the Pilot Mound area. She moved to Selkirk with Jim, in the early 1950s to live and raise their family. Mom loved and enjoyed life including, her casino trips, bingo, and bowling in her younger years. She loved her visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were all so special to her. A celebration of Verna's life will take place on Tuesday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Flowers gratefully declined, donations in Verna's memory can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
