HILDA MARGARET STANLEY (nee COTTON) Mom passed away at the glorious age of 96. She will join her parents, Sydney and Ada, along with her siblings, David, John, Eileen and Helen (Audrey), for a wonderful reunion. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Tom and children, Tom (Linda), Sharon (Daryl) and Gary (Sandy). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Stephanie (Bruce), Tanya (Donovan), Erin (Svante), Abby (Clint), Keith (Christine) and Jeff, as well as her great-grandchildren, Thomas, Douglas, Kyanna, Ryland, Raiyna, Ossian, Rio, Eija, Tyler and Julia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom and Dad grew up in St. Vital and knew each other since grade 1. They were married in 1947 and lived in old St. Vital for 60 plus years. Mom had a bubbly personality, a winning smile and was a friend to everyone on two legs or four. She loved running, music, dancing and above all, baking. She was a longtime member of St. Mark's Anglican Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She worked as head cashier at Eaton's until her retirement. Thank you to the staff of Poseidon Care Centre, particularly the 5th floor, for their excellent care and kindness to Mom during her stay. As per Mom's wishes, we will have a private family service.
