ANDREW STEPHEN KAYE Date of birth: August 10, 1942 Date of Passing: November 10, 2017 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andy on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Health Sciences Centre, with family by his side, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 75 years. Andy was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Helen, five brothers Andrew, William, Tony, John and Wayne, and his daughter Jennifer. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Karen, daughter Susie, son Jason (Tracy), grandchildren Ashley and Brendon, brother Ron, sisters Angel and Anita (Tony), and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his many friends in the auction community. Andy graduated in 1973 from Reisch Auction College in Mason City, Iowa. His ambitious dream of having his own auction building was realized in March of 2000. He was tireless in setting up auctions to his perfection. He truly loved his job and everyone associated with the auctions. Andy enjoyed his many hunting and fishing trips, some golfing, camping, and his trip to Atlantic Canada. His grandchildren were the light of his life and his spirit will live on in them. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 at Navin Rd., Winnipeg, 204-222-3241 with Rev. Father Peter Chorney officiating. Private interment to follow. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Health Sciences Centre and Dr. Rush and the Renal Transplant Team for their compassionate care and support they showed not only to Andy but to the family as well. Also thank you to family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. Donations appreciated in memory of Andy to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation, PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0Z3. Vichnaya Pamyat "The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again." Flowers are gratefully declined.

A little late, but better late than never. I don’t know why but I have thought of Andy often of late, he was a good friend back in the 1980s. I guess as I grow old, I think of people who were important in my life, Andy was one of those people. I have known Andy since Jason started to hang out with my son David they went to school together and other things.. I really thought Andy was a very nice and warm person to talk to.
