Bob was one of the toughest men I had the honour to serve with. He was a great mentor and when I asked him about going out for Ottawa he said that only I can stop myself. Always blunt, honest and one to go to bat for his troops they broke the mold with him. Great man Great warrior Great loss. All my best to his loved ones. - Posted by: Magnus Kincaid (Friend) on: Dec 21, 2021

Bob, it`s now June 27, 2021, and I miss you so much, I think of you all the time. You were a great little brother and I remember laughing with you so hard that we both had tears running down our faces. You`ll always be my little brother which I had to protect unfortunately I couldn`t protect you from this. I know you're with mom and dad and Perry and Lura and you owe me a cold one when I get there. I love you Bob and always will and miss you! - Posted by: Sue McRoberts Hawirko (Bob`s sister) on: Jun 27, 2021

Holy Snap This was a kick in the head I just found out surfing the web. I just want to drop a dime to say, Bob was one hell of a guy who would help anyone regardless of who or where he was. Also want to say thanks for the tours at TSG and say whoever ended up with you was sure to get a decent humble man who was professional at what he did in and out of the army. Go with Gods blessing and thank you for your friendship and service, Jumper! - Posted by: Michael Springchief (Friend 2PPCLI Canadian Airborne Regiment 2 Commando) on: Apr 25, 2019

Bob "The Fox" was a Brother in Arms and a Friend. We served together in the PPCLI and 2 Commando. Some of the best memories of my long Military career will include Bob. During the old 6B course he kept myself and Wayne Snow well entertained and in good spirits by suffering more then us during many snowshoe clad withdrawals. It was an honour to know you and serve with you Bob, RIP and secure the RV. - Posted by: Kevin Little (Airborne Brother and Friend) on: Nov 16, 2017

His full title was actually Bob the Arctic Fox earned during 2 Cdo winter survival trg and he was working the CQ with Will the Wolf. He was one of my oldest friends. He was there for it all. Cornwallis with guys like Krejci, Jones, Tourangeau, Kubryn, Jose, Hans and Burgis, Halifax, TQ3, Hollywood Bn, Olys, the King Hotel, LA, 2 CDO, Cyprus, Molly's, Lucky Ron, Bermuda, The Rosselyn, Sassy's, Romas, Porch Parties, Canoe Parties, Janet Street, L 104, Maj Kenward...the list goes on. The Fox was always in the thick of it. I am certain he did a UN tour in Namibia with The Flatlander as well. Driving him and the other 3 Midnight Raiders to the Canex to buy no-lace running shoes so they could visit Karl in Edmonton. If you've ever seen The Fox do a push up or hang from the racks you've seen it all. I will miss you my Brother! Fair winds and soft landings! RIP!! - Posted by: Tony Kis (Long time Friend) on: Nov 16, 2017
