Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY SUSAN MALINAK Born on March 2, 1952, Betty passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on November 10, 2017 at the age of 65 years. She is predeceased by parents, Helen and Andrew Malinak, and sister-in-law Elma. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her brother Mike, and sister Helen Wowryk (Edward); her two nephews and their children, Tim Wowryk (Rebekah and Patrick), Terry Wowryk (Myrinda), and her best friend, her cat Mishka. Betty lived in Dugald, Manitoba and worked as a table saw operator at Kitchen Craft in Winnipeg. Myrinda shares thoughts and warm memories of Aunty Betty. She was the kind of woman who would go out of her way and buy different lettuce for her guinea pigs because it was the good kind, and she would put out food for the stray cats and she had to buy cat food at two different stores because Mishka only liked those certain kinds. Animals made her so happy, she was such a kind and giving person. You would never leave her house hungry or without a good laugh and big smile. Aunty Betty taught me to eat my stuffing with a fork like a lady and not to burp in public (lol). Although she had a very old school mentality, she had her different and special views about things and that's what made her my fav! She loved to bake and to cook and trying new recipes! One time when I was little, I thought because she's made her own recipes I could too, so I wrote up this long wild recipe and asked if we could try it and Aunty Betty being the type that she was said okay, but we're not going to use ALL of the items, so she cut my list down abit and we made my weird cookies! Her and my dad, being the encouraging people that they are, said the cookies were great, but it was obviously because she tweaked and fixed my recipe! Cremation has taken place and respecting her wishes, there will be no service.
