Kris and Carlene lived in Churchill for the last four years where they made a home together and created many new friendships. Kris is survived by Carlene; his daughter Krislyn; brothers Clarence, David, Gordon, Michael and Tim; sisters Violet and Irene; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his parents Lindsay and Edith; as well as brothers Kevin and Alfred. He will be fondly remembered by Krislyn's mother Angela; her grandma Marcy, and girls Richelle, Shay and Shanna. He was a carpenter, a fisherman, a cook and baker, a gardener and loyal friend. He loved to joke and tease everyone yet he was caring, compassionate and sentimental. A very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Churchill Health Centre for taking such good care with Kris. Thank you to everyone who called with condolences. As well, thank you to the Gilbart Funeral Home. As per his wishes there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held next spring at Pine Dock, MB where his ashes will be interred next to his parents. A date to be determined and announced later on. We will surely miss Kris and his phone calls, the nicknames he had for everyone and his big heart. Always ready to help others. He tried his best to stay with us for as long as he could. He fought a good fight. He is at peace now. Safe journey Batman. Condolences may be left at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
