Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUSAN COLLINS It is with broken hearts, that we announce the passing of Susan Collins, in the early hours of November 17, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital, surrounded by her loving husband Brian Proctor, son Joshua Collins and her loving family members. Susan will be greatly missed by her husband Brian; son Josh; parents, Jim and Gloria Collins, sister Cathy and Rob Dudgeon (Jackie) Morden; brother Ron and Colleen Collins (Rachael, Shawne (Oumar); Katie (Len) and their children Jake and Grace) Winnipeg; sister Bonny and Brian Marten (Eric, Sean, Alex) Sacramento, California; brother Bruce and Jennifer Collins (Nicholas, Colina) Kenora, Ontario; Brian's children, Will and Jacq; his brother Bruce and Holly (Kyle); his sister Sharon and her children and numerous relatives in Riverton/Gimli and across the country. Sue was born June 23, 1954 in Gimli, Manitoba. She was welcomed by many family members in Riverton. She was raised in Winnipeg where she attended Harrow School, Grant Park High School and Business College. Susan was a travel agent for more than 30 years with Carlson Wagonlit Travel. She loved working with her colleagues, who were like a second family to her. We've always heard how her clients were well cared for and that she often went the extra mile to make sure they were satisfied customers. We also want to acknowledge her dear friends, Debbie and Tony, who were so special to Susan. In 1981, Joshua was born. Sue was so thrilled to become a mom! In 2015 she married the love of her life, Brian. She waited a long time to find "the perfect partner" and was so happy to buy her first home, which she took great pride in and loved decorating. Cremation has taken place. As per Susan's wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private dinner with family and close friends was held to celebrate Susan's life. Thank you to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital who were so caring and helpful and the emergency first responders. If anyone so wishes, donations in Susan's memory may be made to a charity of their choice. Susan, you will never be forgotten. Our deepest sympathies go out to Susan's family and friends. Susan was our travel agent for many years and we always enjoyed working with her to plan our yearly holiday. She was just great. Always worked so hard to help us and we came to regard her as our friend though we never got to meet her in person. We were actually planning on doing this in the near future and had discovered that her husband Brian had gone to school with members of my family (Kathy Duffy). We will sorely miss our conversations with her which were always so upbeat and full of laughter. God Bless you Susan. - Posted by: Roy and Kathy Hawrysh (Clients who felt like friends) on: Nov 26, 2017

I remember Susan and Josh from Josh's grade 3 days at Ralph Maybank school. Susan was a great supporter of Josh and the school. She was such a positive person. Susan was also a great professional and knew the travel industry very well. Her help, guidance and information over the years were much appreciated. It was with great sadness that I read of her passing. - Posted by: Art Pfeffer () on: Nov 25, 2017

I met Susan and family when I moved in next door in 1987.She was welcoming, always had time for a neighbourly chat or a big smile and wave. Jane and I were very sad to learn of her passing and along with our children and grandchildren who met her during their time living and visiting with us extend our very heartfelt sympathy and condolences to her family. We will miss her. - Posted by: David Kerr (Neighbour) on: Nov 22, 2017

In the early 80's, Susan helped me plan my very first cruise. She was patient, insightful, and very encouraging to the 20-something year old that was traveling alone. Her wise counsel allowed me to have a wonderful, memorable experience. I met up with her occasionally, and always found her to be warm and interested in what was happening in my life. I will always be grateful to Susan for introducing me to cruising, and looking for the adventure in the unknown. Rest in peace. My condolences to her family and friends on the loss of this kind woman. - Posted by: Lil Goertzen (client) on: Nov 22, 2017
