SILVIO (TONY) RAMPONE December 4, 1932 - November 20, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Silvio Rampone on November 20, 2017 at the age of 84 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Left to mourn are his wife of 45 years Rita; his children Daniela (John), Maurizio and Antonietta; his grandchildren: Luca, Sophia, Maya and Ava; and several other friends and relatives across Canada and Italy. Silvio was preceded by his parents Antonietta and Carmine and his brother Giuseppe. Silvio was born in Sipicciano, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1957. He had a passion for life and for his family. He spent the majority of his career as a chef and restaurant owner. He loved to entertain everyone, and always had a funny story to tell. He was an avid gardener and loved nothing more than being in his backyard surrounded by his family with a glass of wine. A Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 25 at 10:00 am at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Viewing will begin at 9:00 am. • Rita, Maurizio, Daniela and family... our thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry that I just found out today about Tony's passing. Tony was like family to us and my heart is heavy that he is no longer with us. He wore his heart on his sleeve... never mincing any words of distaste, but either of love ... and he had so much love for his family!!!! "For there are no ordinary moments... there are only precious feelings and memories that we piece together one by one. We call it a lifetime." Tony gave us all so many precious memories... he will live on in our hearts forever! I am sure that Tony and Jim are sharing a glass or two or three of wine in Heaven. He always referred to Jim as his "brother"... the brothers are together again! May the love of family and friends carry you through the coming days, weeks and months... Sending you all warm hugs and much Love... Deb, Vanessa, Cole, James and Sara - Posted by: Deb Woodman (family friend) on: Dec 04, 2017
