KIYOKO KAWATA Kiyoko Kawata passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Riverview. She was born August 25, 1935 in New Westminister, BC, the eldest daughter of the late Takeo and Shizuko Kawata. She is survived by two sisters, Masako and Yoshimi Takeuchi and one brother Kazuo (Marjorie); nephews, Carey, Jeffrey, Trent, Jerry (Alice); niece Kathryn and great-niece Kaylie; one uncle Donald (Marlyn) Furutani and several aunts. Kiyoko worked in the audit office of the Bay for 37 years, then took early retirement. She loved to travel to the warmer climates in winter, especially Hawaii and to spend her summer at our former cottage at Falcon Lake. Thank you to Donald and Marlyn and Natalie and David for their friendship and support. Thank you also to the PD team and finally to the doctors (Dr. Shaw) during her hospitalization at St. Boniface Hospital. Cremation has taken place. No formal service will be held. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, November 30, at 12:00 noon at Brandtwood Estates, 681 St. Anne's Road.
