Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTOR HEISINGER Vic passed away peacefully on November 23, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Vic was predeceased by his wife Kay in 2014. Vic will be lovingly remembered by his son Craig (Vickie); daughter Paula (Graham) Bowkett; grandchildren, Jake, Mack, Zachery, Tucker, Chelsea and Kathleen; his brothers, Tom and Bobby (Wendy). He is predeceased by his brother Walter; his parents as well as other friends and family. Vic enjoyed a variety of hobbies such as curling at Deer Lodge Curling Club, flooding the outdoor rink at Deer Lodge Community Club and watching, driving, coaching his grandchildren's hockey and ringette games. Vic worked as a pipefitter at CNR and 33 years at CN operations training centre in Gimli, MB. Vic had also spent many hours with his family at the lake. He was a sweet, soft soul who was a man of character and respected the opinions of others. As a family we a saw a man of pride, someone to admire and who holds a very special place in our hearts. We realize not only how much you meant to us but how proud we felt every time we had the chance to tell someone, "That's my Dad." The family would like to thank Sturgeon Creek Retirement Residence, Deer Lodge Hospital, Poseidon Care Centre, and Golden West Centennial Lodge for all their care. At Vic's request, a private family service will be held. I worked with Vic at the CN Training Centre for many years until his well deserved retirement. One thing I will never forget when I got a ride with him to Wpg in the CN van and we got struck by lightning and the van stopped on us and we could not start it. Vic was a wonderful person and would do anything for you. Very sorry to hear of his passing but happy to hear he enjoyed his retirement.
