ROSE SCHNEIDER Our mom, Rose Schneider, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Holy Family Home. Rose was born in Gardenton, MB, to parents, Peter and Elizabeth Makarenko. She had two brothers and 11 sisters, all predeceased. Mom was also predeceased by her husband Henry and son-in-law Rick Petrow. She is survived by her daughter Gloria and son and daughter-in-law Wayne and Faylene Schneider. She was a very quiet and shy person who always put others' feelings and needs before her own. After dad passed away, mom began winter travelling to different places; Arizona and Mexico being favourites. She loved her cottage at Grand Beach, yard sales, dogs and even the odd casino trip. In compliance with Rose's wishes, no funeral service will be held. There were none finer than Auntie Rosie. She was a beautiful person and loved by all. You and your generous spirit will forever be missed. You and uncle Henry provided us with the best summer memories of Grand Beach and we are forever grateful. - Posted by: Doug McCoy (Great nephew) on: Oct 27, 2021

I really enjoyed knowing Rose. One of the smartest, funniest, coolest lady that I knew. Quiet, but knew exactly what was going on. I'm very glad I knew her. - Posted by: Dr Gillian Aldous (podiatrist) (Podiatrist/patient) on: Jan 02, 2018
