LUCIEN ALFRED MANAIGRE 1932 - 2017 Peacefully, following a brief illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Lucien Alfred Manaigre on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at the age of 85, in Winnipeg, MB, with his family at his side. Lucien leaves to mourn his wife Leona, of 59 years; children Gisele (Ron), Gilbert (Krista) and Ronald; grandchildren Alain, Richard, Janelle, Alyssa and Julien; great-granddaughter Emma; siblings Maurice, Pat, Louis, Annette, Lucienne and Jean, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Colombe Manaigre, daughter Monique, brothers Roland, Claude and Rene, and sister Yvette Aubin. Dad was born in Lorette where later in life he married the love of his life, Leona. They had four children, of which three were by his side all of his life until the end. Dad enjoyed being with his grandchildren, playing guitar with his brothers, and playing golf with his wife and friends. He will be sadly missed by all of us, and all that knew him. A celebration of Lucien's life will be held at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, Manitoba on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to pay special thanks to Dr. Kevin Coates and the Palliative Care team, and the nursing staff at St. Boniface General Hospital, who were all so helpful and compassionate with Dad's care. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lucien's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit (8th floor).
