Date of Passing: Nov 24, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOYCE EILEEN DE GRAFF (nee SINGBEIL) November 12, 1940 - November 24, 2017 Joyce unexpectedly, in the early morning on November 24, passed away at Concordia Hospital. She leaves behind her husband Douglas and their daughters Sharon (Bill) Perrins and Karen, plus many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mom loved gardening and looking after the family's many pets over the years. She was a stay at home mom which included taking her daughters to the numerous activities over the years and looking after the family farm. Mom also loved volunteering which she did often in various capacities. She was always ready to greet people at the door with a friendly smile. Joyce was born in Fraserwood, MB on November 12 to parents Henry and Kate Singbeil. The family farm was moved to North Kildonan in 1947 where Joyce and her brothers and sister were raised. She met her husband Doug on a potato field across the railroad tracks from her parents' farm. Her mother worked for his uncles. They were married on September 29, 1962. Mom and Dad celebrated their 55th Anniversary this last September. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Kate in 1986 and Henry in 2002, as well as her siblings Freddy, Edward, Raymond and Fay. As per Mom's wishes there will be no funeral, instead a family gathering and cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Parkinson's Society Manitoba, 414 Westmont Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2J 1P2 or any animal charity or rescue of your choice is appreciated. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting Until the very end. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, "Come with Me." So when we saw you sleeping So peaceful, free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111

Condolences to Doug, Sharon and Karen from cousin Barry and family in Denmark. "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" - Posted by: Barry and Kirsten Carlson (Cousin) on: Dec 15, 2017
