THERESE CHAPUT-VOYER (née POIRIER) Entourée d'amour, à la fin d'une très belle et très longue vie, maman s'est tout doucement éteinte le 1er décembre 2017 à Actionmarguerite - St. Boniface (Taché). Elle avait 97 ans. Elle laisse pour chérir sa mémoire son frère et sa belle-soeur, Jean et Flora Poirier, ses trois enfants Bernard (Patricia Hogan), Paulette (Raymond Brunet) et Simone (Craig Cameron), dix petits-enfants et quatorze arrière-petits-enfants. L'ont précédée dans la mort ses parents Emile et Anna Poirier, son premier mari, Lucien Chaput, le père de ses enfants et l'amour de sa vie, et Olier Voyer, le compagnon de son âge d'or, huit frères et deux soeurs, de nombreux beaux-frères, belles-soeurs, neveux et nièces. C'est un legs d'une très grande richesse que maman nous a fait par l'exemple de sa vie: le goût du beau et des choses bien faites, une appréciation pour la bonne chère, pour le pain rompu dans l'amour et l'amitié. Sa foi en Dieu et dans la vie était inébranlable, son amour pour ses enfants et ses petits-enfants était inconditionnel, et son don pour le bonheur, même dans son très grand âge, était une source d'émerveillement et d'inspiration. La famille aimerait remercier le personnel d'Actionmarguerite - St. Boniface 2ABC et 2DE pour les excellents soins prodigués à maman dans les dernières années de sa vie, ainsi que pour leur affection et leur soutien constant. Remerciements sincères, aussi, à tous ceux qui ont pris le temps de rendre visite à maman quand elle était à Taché, tout particulièrement à Jean et Flora Poirier, Lise Hamelin, et Debbie et Steven Voyer. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée en la Cathédrale de Saint-Boniface le vendredi 8 décembre à 10h30. Le visionnement commençera à 10h avec les éloges à 10h15. THERESE CHAPUT-VOYER (nee POIRIER) Surrounded by love, at the end of a very beautiful and very long life, Mom peacefully slipped away on December 1, 2017 at Actionmarguerite - St. Boniface (Taché). She was 97 years old. Left to cherish her memory are her brother and sister-in-law, John and Flora Poirier, her son Ben (Pat Hogan), her daughters Paulette (Raymond Brunet) and Simone (Craig Cameron), 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Emile and Anna Poirier, her first husband, Lucien Chaput, the father of her children and the love of her life, and Archie Voyer, the companion of her golden years, eight brothers and two sisters, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. By the example of her life, Mom has left us a very rich legacy: a taste for beauty and order and grace, an appreciation for good food prepared with love, for bread broken in friendship and peace. Her faith in God and in the goodness of life was unshakeable, her love for her children and grandchildren was unconditional and her capacity for happiness, even at the end of her very long life, was a source of amazement and inspiration to all. The family wishes to thank the staff on 2ABC and 2DE at Actionmarguerite - St. Boniface for the excellent care they gave Mom at the end of her life, and for their constant affection and support. Warmest thanks to all those who took the time to visit Mom when she was at Taché, especially John and Flo Poirier, Lise Hamelin and Debbie and Steven Voyer. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Boniface Cathedral on Friday, December 8, at 10:30 a.m.; viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with eulogies at 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
