ROSEMARY HUGHES It is with great sorrow that our family announces Rosemary's passing on December 7, 2017. Rosemary struggled with cancer for the past two years but was never one to complain. She was strong and fought cancer head on. She thrived through it all - remaining positive to the end. She was most happy when she was surrounded by her family and friends who she considered to be the driving force behind her strength. We would like to thank all of you for those well timed phone calls that always brightened her day. :) Thank you for all your generosity and kindness. Special thanks to everyone at St. Boniface CancerCare for all your care. In compliance with Rosemary's wishes there will be a private family service at a later date. Donations in Rosie's honour can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice. "Until we all meet again :-)" seasonsfunerals.ca

I was so saddened to hear of Rosemary's passing. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. I worked briefly with Rosemary, and very much admired her knowledge, kindness and dedication. She was a bright light for many of us, and I shall always remember her kindness and support. So sorry she has left us so soon. She will be missed. - Posted by: Carol Filewich (former co-worker) on: Jan 29, 2018

Rose-Marie was my best friend growing up as a teenager. We always keep in touch somehow regardless of the distance. I was always looking forwards to receive her Christmas card with a family photo. Not hearing from her lately, I had the feeling that the cancer must had taking the best of her. And now I just found the news... I had survived cancer... but not Rose-Marie. My sincere condolences. Rosemary was a lovely friend and co worker. She was a very skilled nurse and her co workers turned to her for advise. I am very sad to hear of her passing. She was always patient and kind to those she worked with and willing to listen. We worked in separate offices but kept in touch due to Union issues. On a personal level when I needed advice about what nursing home in Winnipeg would be best for my Mom, Rosemary provided support and her knowledge of various homes. It was so appreciated by my family and me. My thoughts are with her family. - Posted by: Rosemary Hughes ( friend and former co worker ) on: Dec 13, 2017

Our sincerest condolences on behalf of my entire family. It was a privilege to have worked with Rosemary (Rosie) , our District Nursing Officer , all those years. You will never find a more dedicated , caring and highly skilled nurse. Her vibrant energy and joie de vivre was infectious. Words seem to never express well enough , how much we will miss her. - Posted by: Robert R Dupas (Former co-worker / friend) on: Dec 09, 2017
