DONALD JOHN CORRIE Donald John Corrie, aged 85, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2017 at the Health Sciences Centre. Don is survived by his sister Joan Wright of Delta, BC; his brothers Robert Corrie (Audrey) of Gimli, MB and James Corrie (Cheryhl) of Hillside, MB; his children Brian Corrie of Winnipeg, Christine Corrie (Réjean Robichaud) of Fredericton and Kathleen Burton (Colin) of Winnipeg; his granddaughters Carolyn Sirois (Peter Munroe) of Winnipeg, Dixie Wortman (Nathaniel) of Fredericton, Hayley Myshrall (Cameron Bowie) of Fredericton, Carly Burton and Jenna Burton of Winnipeg. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Elma Doak, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Kathleen (Swallow) and Walter Corrie; his spouse Eleanor Corrie; mother and father-in-law Mary and William Brunn; sister-in-law Marion Demery; brothers-in-law Peter Wright, William Brunn, Clayton Doak and Ernest Demery of Winnipeg. Don was a wonderful father and grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He had the biggest, most beautiful smile and his sense of humour never failed to brighten a room. He had several careers over the years from policeman to heavy equipment operator. His true passion was long haul trucking. He retired 25 years ago from Transport Canada (Winnipeg Airport). There will be a private family service. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre who provided compassionate care.
