JEANNE MARIE D'AUTEUIL After several years of slowly declining health and advancing dementia, Jeanne d'Auteuil passed away on December 4, 2017, while in residence at Misericordia Place in Winnipeg. Jeanne was preceded by her husband Isidore d'Auteuil in 2012. She is survived by her five boys, Ernest, Gérard, Laurent, Richard and Francois d'Auteuil. Isidore and Jeanne counted nine grandchildren whom they loved dearly and many great-grand-children, some of whom are now young adults. In passing, she follows her siblings, Denise Carrière and Claude Carrière. Her living siblings are Léona (Gilles Champagne), Donat Carrière (Louisa), Gérard Carrière (Rita), Anne-Marie (Maurice Sherwood) and Louis Carrière (Janine). Jeanne worked hard during her life, first on the family farm, then as a devoted wife for nearly 60 years. She was very talented and always willing to demonstrate her ability in crafts; sewing, embroidery, knitting and crochet, decorating and gardening. An excellent cook and home maker, she passed her skills on to her family. Her goal was always to care for her family. Sadly, Jeanne never learned to live alone. When the boys left home one by one, she channeled more and more time into her gardening and crafts and decorating, to dad's disappointment. Dad, you see was from the old school that lived by the motto "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." He did, however, like to eat good food and live in a nice clean home so that settled that. Family and friends are invited to a service at St-Boniface Cathedral on Wednesday, December 20 at 10:30 a.m. and interment at Green Acres, by her husband. We will miss you very much, Jeanne.
