PATRICK BROWN With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Pat, on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital. Pat leaves to cherish his memory, his wife and partner of 48 years, Carole Stimpson-Brown, his son Christopher (Jin Hee), his daughter Melissa Crittin (Paul), his granddaughter Brittany (Carrigan), grandson Nicholas, and granddaughter Lily, as well as his great-grandson Elijah Cody Patrick. Pat was predeceased by his parents, Roderick and Gwen. Pat was born in Brandon in 1942 and was a country boy at heart. He worked as a passenger sales and service agent with Air Canada for 34 years, mostly at Winnipeg International Airport. In retirement, he and Carole travelled the globe visiting Australia, New Zealand and Europe, as well as a considerable amount of South America. Pat had a generous spirit and found much joy in simple pleasures. Family always came first and his grandchildren stole his heart away. The family wishes to thank the St. Boniface Hospital Renal Clinic for all their support the past few years. Funeral service for Pat will be held at Christ the King Church, 847 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg on Friday, December 29 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers graciously declined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Canadian Kidney Foundation. My wife Janis and I fondly remember Pat when we worked together on the front desk at the Fort Garry Hotel in 1967. Always happy and a great man to work with. Our condolences go out to Carole, whom we recall worked in the accounting office, and the family. Sincerely, Gordon and Janis - Posted by: Gordon Wheatley (Long-ago colleague) on: Feb 18, 2019

My spouse and I loved building fences with Pat, staining those fences, laying sod, and generally planting more trees than could be imagined when we moved into new bungalows on Oakridge Bay in St. Vital in the early 1970's, We depended on each other for bits and pieces of information new homeowners often discovered they needed, Pat was humorous, worked his heart out in the heat of summer, moved more plant beds than anyone could believe, and became our life long friend. I will always miss his smile and his crazy jokes. He was a great man and friend beside whom we were fortunate enough to buy a home. I will miss him.
