GAIL DOWHAN (nee CHORNOPYSKI) October 16, 1958 - December 20, 2017 Today I lost my wife and best friend. Gail passed away suddenly on December 20, 2017 at Concordia Hospital. Gail leaves to mourn her beloved husband Barry and dog Tippy. Left to cherish her memory are her brother Ellery (Teresa); sister Debbie (Paul); brothers, Jerry, Brent (Leah), and Brian (Dana); father-in-law Paul Dowhan; sisters-in-law, Elaine (Dennis), and Valerie (Mike); brother-in-law Ron; as well as many loved nephews and nieces. Gail was predeceased by her mother Gloria; father John; her brother Jeffrey; and her mother-in-law Alice Dowhan. Gail was born in Winnipeg and grew up in East Kildonan. Gail's career was in banking, first at Canada Trust and then TD Bank where she had many good friends. Gail was a gentle and well-liked person who treasured her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A private family service will be held.   • I worked with Gail for the last three years at TD main branch, she had such a big heart, she always looked out for everyone else first and smiled through tough times.   • I worked with Gail 31 years ago at Canada Trust and we both moved over to TD at the same time . We were the same age and were going to retire at the same time . Gail was always sending me emails to correct this or that and we would laugh cause I was always on her s- - t list . My tribute to you my friend is to stay off that list till retirement.
