MARY S. FALK Peacefully, on Sunday,, December 24, 2017, at 92 years of age. Mary (Maria) is survived by her children, Karl (Nadia), Roswieta, and Peter; grandchildren Rebecca (Kevin), Erica (Sebastien), and Laura (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Tessa, Cedric, and Meredith; sister Margarete and brother Kuno; nieces and nephew; as well as other relatives in Canada, the United States, and Germany. She was predeceased by her sister Lola and her brothers, Hugo and Theodor. Oma was born to Adeline and Ernst Neumann on August 24, 1925, and immigrated to Canada in 1948. She worked hard for her family and to maintain her St. Vital home, where she found special joy in its huge yard and garden. The family are grateful for the excellent care Mary received from all the paramedics and firefighters who came at need, the nurses, doctors, and aides at St. Boniface Hospital, Victoria Hospital, and Deer Lodge Centre. A private service will take place with interment at Glen Eden Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church at a date to be determined. Flowers are gratefully declined but those who wish may make a donation in Mary's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or a charity of their choice.
