Dear Uli and Family, Anne was a valued member of the Manitoba Teachers of German in our province. Anne's skills as a German language teacher were admired and appreciated. Her willingness to share her time and talent in an effort to improve professional development opportunities for teachers was truly valued. Many were the occasions when business meetings were followed by enjoyable times of fellowship in the hospitable comfort of Anne and Uli's home. May the treasured memories of wonderful times spent with Anne provide comfort in your time of sorrow. Respectfully, Mary Bradshaw - Posted by: Mary Bradshaw (former colleague) on: Jan 06, 2018

My Tante Anne, my godmother. There was never a time in my existence that you weren't a presence, never a day I didn't think about you, Onkel Uli and my cousins. I have known you all my whole life and there are so many memories of birthdays and Christmases and a lot of in-betweens, more of you and your family than anyone else. Thank you for being our family, for giving us one on this side of the world. I will continue to think of you daily and as I carry your name in mine, you will always be close to my heart. I love you. - Posted by: Corinne Anne Mock ("Adopted" aunt. Godmother.) on: Jan 02, 2018

Anne was the president of the Manitoba Teachers of German and I was a rookie on her committee. She often invited us to her home for meetings that felt more like gatherings with an agenda. She was a wonderful, warm person and a great host! I fondly remember her sense of humour and her kindness. My condolences to her husband and family. - Posted by: Charlotte R Kroeker (Colleague) on: Jan 02, 2018

Mrs. Thenhaus was my German teacher for many many years in Grunthal. Being one of the only non-German students she showed me a new language and how easy it is to learn. She was a patient teacher and human being. May she Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Corey Letwinetz (Former student/acquaintance ) on: Dec 30, 2017
