BRIAN WILLIAM MENZIES 1948 - 2018 After a long, hard, courageous battle of five years, Brian, my forever man, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 1, 2018, with his family by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory, his brother Walt Menzies, loving daughter Tara Menzies (Scott) Morgan, grandchildren Caiden, Leigh and Derek Morgan, loving daughter Cherie (Andrew) Long and grandson Phoenix. He is also remembered with love by the entire Falk family, in-laws Peter and Anne Falk. Brian adored his family and was an excited grandfather. He was a hands on dad, helping change diapers and do bottle feedings. He was a fabulous family man. Brian was my hobby man. He loved fishing and painting, karate, gardening, cooking, and above all else video games. Many fond memories were made at his parents', John and Selma Menzies, cottage in Falcon Beach and at Lorraine and Keith's cottage at Booster Lake. Brian was happily retired from Manitoba Hydro where he worked as an analyst. Special thanks to his health care team Dr. Harris, Dr. Homik, Dr. Houston and Dr. Magnuson, also much gratitude to nurses Brie, Julie, Nick and Krystalynn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Siloam Mission or Canadian Wildlife Federation. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2018 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg.
