I grew up being babysat by him and Pat. Being that age I don't have many stories but am very glad I got to met him. - Posted by: Jay (Neighbor) on: Sep 11, 2018

I can't count how many times when Duke was home that I had time to talk w/him. But every time was fun. One time I remember was when he first got that mosquito fogger and while I waited to hang w/my best friend (his son) he would spray it under the deck and you would see them fly up and then fall while he laughed. All the time enjoying his time between trucking and every minute with his family. I loved Duke and Pat as if they were family. Aunt Pat and Uncle Duke. Thanx for the always welcome arms and the fun chats. You are and always will be missed. Love you! - Posted by: Ryan Macumber (Family) on: Jul 01, 2018

My condolences to the family. I first me Duke in the early 70's. He was a role model to us younger truckers. I remember him teaching me how to keep air lines from freezing one cold winter morning . I am sad he is gone, but hopefully his family knows that many in the trucking industry share their grief . RIP old truck driving buddy. - Posted by: Peter Polet (friend) on: Jan 12, 2018
