HESEL MCQUADE LYSS (nee BOLTON) Hesel McQuade Lyss passed away peacefully at River East Personal Care Home on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband, Kyle; parents, Maud and Bert Bolton; brothers, Ross and Buster Bolton; son, David; grandson, Christian, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Hesel is remembered by sons, Daniel (Denise), Vernon (Laurie), Kevin (Irene) and Howard (Annette); sister Mavis; grandchildren, Jordan, Kristin (Rob), Riley, Cody, Erin (Jake), Jesi, Becky, Vanessa (Robert), Talia, Carl, Serena, Kenton, Wolfgang and Claydmor; and great-grandchildren, Jaimie, Andrew, Spencer, Charlotte, Molly, and Violet; and her sister Mavis Kleven. Hesel was born November 7, 1927 in Winnipeg. She lived on a farm in Prairie Grove until her early teens, when they moved to St. Boniface. She met Kyle Lyss, whom she married in 1951 and had four boys between 1952 and 1962. She had many interests including Red River jigging, playing guitar, harmonica, fiddle and accordion. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, 2018 at Albright Church, 3400 De Vries Avenue. Viewing at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
