Marian, I am sorry I can't attend the memorial service for Bill as I am in Nanaimo for 3 months. I respected Bill. When he was playing football for St. Vital Bulldogs he loaned my his football helmet when I was playing for Gordon Bell. I also remember Bill's old car. On day he gave me a ride and for some reason when he slowed down he told me to get out and gave me a push! I ripped my pants on a nail. Those were the days! I have emailed the obit to John McFetridge (Ont) and Duncan McLeod (USA),both West End boys that knew Bill well. Marian - I remember fondly our times growing up in Winnipeg, especially the huge outdoor skating rink on Portage, and our times at Laura Secord. I also remember how proud you were of your big brother Bill. Its been ages ... but we are thinking of you today as you celebrate his life.
