MABEL JEANETTE BORNN Mabel passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her husband Jack and her twin sister Mildred. Mabel will be lovingly remembered by her children: Brenda (Roger), Janet and Rod (Donna); four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters Olive (Don) and Rena (Peter). Mabel grew up on the farm near Swan Lake. She took her LPN course in Selkirk and her nursing career included working at the Children's Hospital, Oakview Place and Grace Hospital where she retired at the age of 60. Mabel and her husband lived in the St. James area where they raised their children. Upon retirement Mabel was an active member of her church and especially enjoyed caring for the flower gardens. Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg with Reverend Raymond Knight officiating.
