His honesty, integrity and work ethic resulted in him receiving many career related awards. Walter had a love of golf and was an active member at both Elmhurst and Breezy Bend Country Clubs for many years where he met many lifelong friends. In his earlier years, he enjoyed boating and time at the lake with his family. Following retirement, he spent many winters in Palm Springs enjoying golf, friends and family. He was an active member at Reh-Fit for many years. He had a lifelong passion for bridge, reading and stock market investing. Some of his favourite pastimes were card tricks, math games and playing the harmonica, especially with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be missed by all. A private family service and interment have been held.
