Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILLICENT JEAN KEEDWELL December 2, 1941 - January 7, 2018 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Millicent Jean Keedwell on January 7, 2018 at her home at the age of 76 years. Jean is survived by her daughters, Tamara Keedwell of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Jacinda Keedwell of Lethbridge, Alberta. Jean leaves to mourn her two brothers, her youngest brother Shaw Webster and her brother Jack and Linda Webster and their family of Biggar Saskatchewan, her brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Dianne Keedwell and their family of Calgary, Alberta; Elefriede and Larry Flett and their family; as well as numerous beloved family members across the prairies. Jean was both an auntie and a great-auntie and cherished the time she spent with her nieces and nephews, as she loved them like her own. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years Rod; her parents, Millie and Jack Webster; her sister Shirley Redlick and her brother-in-law Gordon Redlick. Jean was born to Millie and Jack Webster in Biggar, Saskatchewan on December 2, 1941. Jean's childhood was spent between Biggar, Saskatchewan and Edmonton, Alberta. When Jean ventured out on her own she spent time in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan working as a medical transcriptionist. It was in Saskatoon that she met the love of her life, Rodney. They were married in May of 1965 and started off on their grand adventure together. They moved to Winnipeg shortly after, where Jean and her family have resided for the last 53 years. Mom was very involved in her our lives and she spent many years coaching or leading the different activities we were involved in. These activities included coaching swimming with the Manitoba Marlins and the Winnipeg Wave, being a Girl Guide Leader for a number of years and she was an avid Ringette mom for years. Mom worked hard for everything she earned. She worked in the administrative field for well over 40 years, working for numerous doctors in Saskatoon and Winnipeg, and at the University of Manitoba in the Health Services Department and the Student Records Department. Later in life, she moved from working to volunteering for numerous groups that were important to her. Mom loved her life and made the most of it every day. She was actively involved in many groups in her community. She was a member of the Trefoil Group (part of the Girl Guides of Canada), the PAL group (Senior Activity Group), the Baker's Dozen and a Dinner Group with lifelong friends. Mom never stopped moving for long, she was always helping someone or making sure they had an ear or a shoulder to lean on. Mom had a huge heart for people and this radiated from her. She made everyone around her comfortable and she could talk to anyone. She loved to share stories from her past and to talk about her kids. Mom loved her friends and looked forward to spending time with them. In recent years, mom discovered two new passions; painting and writing. She loved to sit and create with watercolour, oils and acrylic paint. Her home is full of her creations. In the past two years, mom started writing and sharing the stories of her past. These writings brought her great joy and she was very excited to be published in a book with other local writers in 2016. Mom's legacy will continue to live on in her stories. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Jean's honour on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice or to the Manitoba Underdogs Rescue. Dear Tammy, please accept my condolences on behalf of myself and my family. You and your mom made me feel very welcomed in your home in Winnipeg. I am fortunate to have been included on your summer trip to visit your mom’s family in Saskatoon, and to attend a swim meet with you and your mom. Your family was very kind to me when I moved to Winnipeg from St. Vincent. Thank you. And, a great big thank-you to your mom! I send you love and hugs from my daughter, my sister, and my mom. - Posted by: Mishma (Friend to Tammy) on: Jan 16, 2018

I met Jean at PAL. She sat beside me and in our conversation she was so warm and caring. Before we parted I had the name of her contractor and a warm invitation to come for coffee and see her new kitchen. And that was Jean. She always included everybody. She always helped whoever she could. Her home was open to friends and family. You knew that the moment you met her you had made a good friend. I will miss our time writing together, our lunches, our coffee breaks. With Jean's passing we have all lost a good friend. My heart goes out to Jacie and Tammy and Jean's family. I will keep all of you in my prayers. - Posted by: Lorraine Klymko (friend) on: Jan 13, 2018
