Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCESCO PRENCIPE July 8, 1927 - January 10, 2018 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on January 10, 2018. He will be forever remembered lovely by his devoted wife Giovannia of 63 years and his four children Matteo, Filomena (Bruce), Tony (Kim), and Grace; sisters in Italy are Maria, Checcini and Teresa. He was a loving grandfather to Dale, William, Tony, Wesley, Danielle, Joanna, Crystal, and Adele. He also adored his great-grandchildren Ashley, Desirae, Milana and Carina. Francesco was predeceased by his mother (Filomena) and father (Matteo); as well as his younger brother (Mike) and sister-in-law (Antoinette). Frank was born and raised on a farm near San Giovanni Rotondo, Foggia, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1961 with his own family to seek new opportunities. Frank started working in the construction industry and then moved to CP Weston Shops where he retired in 1992. His exceptional work ethic was beyond most people's, often working two or more jobs. He was a strong willed, independent, generous person with a great sense of humor. His belief in the strength of family and commitment was instilled in all of his children and grandchildren. Frank's first love was his wife and family, his amazing gardens in the city and Winnipeg Beach, home improvement projects, cooking and wine cheese making. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue. Viewing and condolences will start at 10:00 am. Entombment will be at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street. Pallbearers will be Matt Prencipe, Tony Prencipe, Dale Graham, Bruce Donaldson, Billy Donaldson, Wesley Donaldson, and Massimo Taronno. Special thanks to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital ICMS. Tony, Kim, Filomena, Bruce, Matt, Grace, and all the grandchildren and great grandchildren, sending you deepest sympathies in the loss of your Father and Grandfather. He was Zio Francesco to me and I will remember him as my Big and Strong Zio and always with a big smile on his face that reflected his Big heart especially for Zia Giovanna and all his family! I visited the cottage in Winnipeg Beach and could see how happy and content he was there working on his beautiful garden. He lived a wonderful long life and is now in the arms of the Lord.
