Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVALRIE SMITH 1945 - 2018 Valrie Smith, born in Jamaica, July 10, 1945, died in Winnipeg, January 5, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, friend, and guardian angel and will be missed by many. Funeral service will take place Friday, January 19 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 256 Smith St. at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Vital Cemetery. During my 2 years at Holy Trinity I enjoyed getting to know Valerie. She was always upbeat and hopeful in her attitude. She was a dedicated volunteer in the Mission Ministry at Holy Trinity. I feel blessed to have known her and was inspired by her courage in confronting cancer. My sympathies to her family and friends who are grieving her death.
