Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN HARPER June 15, 1924 January 14, 2018 Jean passed away Sunday, at the age of 92, with family at her side. She was predeceased in November by Leslie, her husband of 70 years. She is survived by her daughter Laurie (Scott), granddaughters Lisa (Pape), Christen and Amber (Don), great-grandchildren Isabella, Lily and Jacob, and many nieces and nephews. Jean served in the Air Force in Second World War, where she met Leslie. They settled in East Kildonan. Jean worked at Eaton's, and still met with the gang from the silverware department for lunch. She loved going for drives to Lockport. Jean was an avid reader, gardener and movie-goer. Although afflicted by many age-related ailments, Jean still enjoyed visits from family and friends. Thanks to the staff at Concordia Place for their care and support. Veterans Affairs provided for many amenities. Maureen Scarsbrook, honorary daughter, provided an abundance of love and care. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the chapel at Concordia Place, 1000 Molson St. at 11:00 a.m., followed by refreshments. I knew Mrs. Harper because of my close friend Kerry is her nephew . I will remember Mrs. Harper as having a cheerful attitude she always had something good to say about everyone. She will be missed but she is with Les now. - Posted by: Gary Krawchuk (Friend) on: Jan 21, 2018
